The way it over-revs on the downshifts...sounds like he isn't heel toeing to match the revs. Sounds like what happens if I just go from 6th to 3rd on my road car.

I love F1 Spec Cars almost as much as I love the Toyota Camry V8 NASCAR Spec Cars. I don’t want any type of innovation to interfere with car designs. The S in NASCAR did not originally mean Spec.

I hate watching F1 cars in the rain. So, so much of the performance is gone.

I have to say Mika and Ayrton are one of the few drivers that turn in "too early" and tip toe the back end of the car around the corner. Michael and Kimi on the other hand, take a lot of corners "too wide", but use the throttle to steer the car around the corner, maximizing exit speed. I've watched about 20 years of F1 and believe it or not, George Russell has a similar driving style to Mika and Ayrton. Alonso is somewhat similar, but he uses the understeer of the car to his advantage, while Mika and Ayrton turn in early, use the engine brake to break the traction of the rear tires and swing the back end around. Insane what these pilots are doing considering this all happens within fractions of a second and while the car is very much on the limits.
